My client, Burdette, Koehler, Murphy and Associates, is seeking a visionary and technically skilled Fire Protection Practice Leader to lead their fire protection engineering efforts. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of fire protection design within a respected and collaborative firm.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and oversight of fire protection design drawings, specifications, reports, and technical studies.
- Prepare and manage proposals for fire protection projects.
- Provide mentorship and supervision in accordance with company policies and industry standards.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, materials, and best practices, and apply them to improve project outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, owners, architects, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams both internally and externally.
- Oversee construction administration services, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and site inspections.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Board.
🎓 Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required in at least one state; multi-state licensure preferred.
- Registered Fire Protection Engineer (FPE) license preferred, or willingness to obtain.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fire protection engineering across a variety of project types.
- Proven project management experience.

- Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
