About the Role:
They are seeking a motivated and experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geotechnical investigations, analysis, and design, with a passion for delivering high-quality engineering solutions for infrastructure, transportation, and commercial development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute geotechnical field investigations, including soil borings, test pits, and in-situ testing.
- Analyze soil, rock, and groundwater data to develop geotechnical recommendations.
- Prepare geotechnical reports, foundation design recommendations, and slope stability analyses.
- Collaborate with civil, structural, and environmental engineers on multidisciplinary projects.
- Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with geotechnical recommendations.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and client communications.
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical work.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering (Master's preferred).
- 4+ years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., gINT, PLAXIS, LPILE, SLOPE/W).
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
- Familiarity with local soil conditions and regulatory standards in Georgia is a plus.
