Hydraulic Modeler/Planner
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of hydraulic models to support water resource planning and management. You'll be instrumental in designing systems that optimize water distribution and mitigate flood risks.
Conduct in-depth hydrological and hydraulic analyses to inform project designs and decision-making processes. This includes creating models for river systems, stormwater networks, and urban drainage systems.
Develop and refine innovative solutions for water management challenges, including flood control, stormwater management, and water supply planning. You'll ensure these solutions are sustainable and resilient.
Perform comprehensive environmental impact assessments and develop strategies to minimize adverse effects. You'll design measures to protect communities from extreme weather events and ensure regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, planners, and environmental scientists to deliver integrated water management solutions. You'll incorporate green infrastructure and nature-based solutions into your projects.
Engage with stakeholders, including community members and regulatory agencies, to gather input and provide updates on project progress.
Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
Extensive experience in hydraulic modeling and water resources planning, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM) and GIS tools.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
