Senior Project Manager - Water/Wastewater Infrastructure

We are seeking a self-driven and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects in a growing regional market. This leadership role offers the opportunity to shape client relationships, manage complex projects, and contribute to strategic growth initiatives in a well-established engineering practice.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including design, permitting, and construction support.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams, mentor junior staff, and oversee technical deliverables.
  • Collaborate with technical specialists and project delivery teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Contribute to the preparation and review of design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for large, complex projects.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets, schedules, and risks to ensure successful delivery.
  • Conduct high-level planning and program analysis, including the development of technical reports and studies.
  • Stay engaged in the water/wastewater industry through professional associations, technical committees, and conferences.
  • Support business development efforts through strategic planning, marketing, and proposal development.
  • Partner with business development teams to respond to client RFPs and lead proposal efforts.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and regulatory agencies, providing updates and resolving technical issues.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in project management.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CCM, or DBIA) or willingness to obtain within 12 months of hire.
  • Willingness to travel domestically as needed based on project demands.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Proven experience managing water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with alternative project delivery methods.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to interface effectively with clients and stakeholders.
