Position Overview
The firm is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the launch and development of a new regional office. This strategic role combines technical leadership with business development and operational oversight. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in forensic engineering, a strong professional network, and the ability to build and manage a high-performing local team.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and lead a new regional office, including staffing, operations, and client engagement.
- Conduct forensic investigations into structural failures, construction defects, and material performance issues.
- Provide expert witness services and litigation support.
- Leverage an existing book of business to drive regional growth and client acquisition.
- Collaborate with national teams on multidisciplinary projects.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence.
Qualifications
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on forensic consulting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and grow a book of business.
- Proven leadership experience, ideally in launching or managing a regional office or practice.
- Strong communication, analytical, and technical writing skills.
- Experience in expert testimony or legal consulting is advantageous.
