Position: Owner's Representative - Mission Critical Construction
Location: Remote (Pacific Northwest, USA preferred)
Travel: 75% domestic travel required
Salary: Highly competitive, based on experience

We are a specialist recruitment agency partnering with a leading consultancy in the mission critical infrastructure sector. Our client, a well-established firm known for delivering complex, high-value construction projects, is seeking an experienced Owner's Representative to oversee mission critical developments across the U.S.

This is a remote-based role with frequent travel to project sites. Candidates located near major airports in the Pacific Northwest are strongly preferred.


About the Role

As the Owner's Representative, you will serve as the primary liaison between the client and all project stakeholders, including general contractors, design teams, engineers, and site personnel. You'll manage the full project lifecycle-from pre-construction through commissioning and closeout-ensuring alignment with client goals, timelines, and budgets.


Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Lead all phases of construction projects, from planning through completion.
  • Develop and manage master schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Oversee permitting, bidding, contractor selection, and contract negotiations.
  • Monitor site progress, conduct inspections, and manage commissioning and closeout.

Financial Oversight

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Manage cost schedules, change orders, and pay applications.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to avoid cost and schedule deviations.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the client.
  • Facilitate clear, consistent communication across all project teams.
  • Maintain long-term client relationships through transparency and accountability.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to internal training initiatives.
  • Provide performance feedback and support career development.
  • Promote continuous improvement in project delivery and team processes.

Administrative & Reporting

  • Maintain daily digital reports with narrative and photographic documentation.
  • Support contract administration and internal reporting requirements.
  • Track time and project hours using company tools.

Candidate Profile

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in construction project management, ideally in mission critical or data center environments.
  • Strong knowledge of DC/AC power systems, MOP processes, and IT infrastructure protection.
  • Proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience managing projects over $1M in value.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively and work on-site during project phases.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with telecom or data center construction.
  • Experience with AI tools and emerging technologies in construction workflows.
  • Located near a major U.S. airport and eligible for domestic air travel (REAL ID or passport required).
