Principal Environmental Consultant - Irvine, CA
Location: Irvine, CA
Salary: $170,000 - $220,000 per annum
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Principal Consultant to join our Irvine office. This is a senior leadership position for a proven environmental professional with 15+ years of consulting experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Site investigation
- Site Remediation
- Environmental monitoring
- Regulatory compliance
The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong client relationships, and a track record of delivering complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate as a true seller/doer, responsible for both business development and project execution.
- Lead proposal efforts and win new work through existing and new client relationships.
- Serve as Project Manager for major environmental projects, ensuring technical excellence, budget adherence, and client satisfaction.
- Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture.
- Maintain awareness of regulatory changes and industry trends to provide strategic guidance to clients.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of environmental consulting experience in site investigation, remediation, monitoring, and/or compliance.
- Professional certification (PG or PE) strongly preferred but not required.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale projects and lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong business development skills with a history of winning work.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
