Project Development Manager (WECC, SPP, ERCOT)
A powerhouse utility-scale solar and storage IPP, with pipeline and operating assets across the US and Canada, is looking to bring on a Development Manager to advance projects across WECC, ERCOT, and SPP. This position will have a core focus on solar, solar + storage, and energy storage projects. But there will also be involvement with data center siting, development, and strategy. Therefore, a preference for experience/exposure to either data center or natural gas development.
Ideal Criteria:
- Ability to manage project development from initial greenfield or acquisition efforts through to the start of construction
- Support and conduct due diligence and evaluation on development-stage project and portfolio acquisitions
- 4+ years of development experience, utility-scale solar/storage preferred, data center or natural gas an additional preference
- Experience across WECC, SPP, and ERCOT, developing on both private and public land
- Engage community, local, state, and federal institutions, coordinate interconnection requests, secure permits, negotiate tax abatements, and land use agreements.
- Work cross-functionally with teams such as M&A, Origination, Transmission, Legal, Project Finance, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction
