Job Summary:
A growing engineering and consulting firm is seeking a Project Development Project Manager to lead and coordinate early-stage project development efforts. This role involves managing projects from conceptualization through development, ensuring a smooth transition to the execution team at approximately 30% of the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project kick-offs and assemble cross-functional teams to define and refine project scopes.
- Manage project development from concept through design and planning phases.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Prepare and present project development plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Facilitate the hand-off of projects to execution teams with comprehensive documentation and support.
- Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to meet objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project development or early-phase project management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with utility or infrastructure projects is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- PMP certification or equivalent project management training.
- Experience with project management software and tools.
- Knowledge of regulatory and permitting processes in the energy or utility sector.
