Role Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Produce AutoCAD drawings forBAS systems, including:
- Control schematics
- Panel layouts
- Network diagrams
- Floor plans and riser diagrams
- Develop I/O schedules, points lists, and wiring diagrams
- Interpret and refine sequences of operation into practical control designs
- Support BAS system architecture for mission‑critical HVAC and plant systems
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and IT design teams
- Review and redline contractor drawings and submittals
- Ensure designs align with redundancy, uptime, and fail‑safe requirements
- Support projects through design development, construction, and commissioning phases
- Maintain and improve CAD standards and drawing consistency across projects
Required Experience & Skills
- Strong background in BAS / controls system design
- Advanced AutoCAD proficiency (essential)
- Experience delivering mission‑critical or data centre projects
- Solid understanding of HVAC systems and plant control strategies
- Experience producing construction‑ready BAS documentation
- Ability to work independently in a remote design role
- Strong attention to detail and documentation quality
Nice to Have (Not Core)
- Exposure to Tridium Niagara (design awareness only, not programming‑heavy)
- Experience with consultant‑led or owner‑directed design models
- Familiarity with data centre standards (Tier III / IV concepts, redundancy philosophies)
