Compensation: Up to $130,000 base salary
Location: Remote (U.S.) with nationwide project support
Travel: Up to 25% (maximum)
About the Role
We're seeking an experienced PLC Programmer with strong Data Center infrastructure expertise to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will support mission-critical data center projects across the U.S., delivering high‑reliability automation, control systems, and commissioning support for large‑scale facilities.
This is a remote position with limited travel - typically for site assessments, commissioning activities, or major project milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, program, test, and deploy PLC‑based control systems for data center infrastructure (e.g., electrical systems, cooling plants, power distribution, building automation).
- Support the configuration and integration of SCADA, BMS, and EPMS systems.
- Collaborate with design engineers, construction teams, and commissioning agents to ensure system reliability and uptime.
- Troubleshoot controls issues remotely and onsite as needed.
- Maintain and update documentation including logic diagrams, control narratives, I/O lists, and change logs.
- Support FAT/SAT activities and assist with turnover to operations.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in PLC programming (Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley strongly preferred; Siemens a plus).
- Demonstrated experience in Data Center, Mission Critical, or Industrial Automation environments.
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical control systems.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Comfortable working remotely and managing multiple simultaneous project deliverables.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% nationwide.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HVAC controls, power monitoring, or critical facility operations.
- Familiarity with SCADA, BMS, EPMS, and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, EtherNet/IP).
- Knowledge of commissioning processes and standards.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens, TIA Portal, ULC/UL).
