About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Roofing Construction Observer to support field operations in the Minneapolis area. In this role, you'll be the eyes and ears on-site - ensuring roofing systems are installed to specification, documenting progress, and contributing to the success of high-performance building envelope projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site evaluations of roofing systems and related building materials to assess existing conditions.
- Verify that construction activities align with project specifications and industry standards.
- Prepare clear, concise daily field reports, including photographs and field sketches.
- Collaborate with project teams to meet deadlines and maintain quality assurance.
- Provide documentation and observations that support long-term building performance and risk mitigation.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with roofing construction methods (commercial experience preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with drafting practices; knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
- Valid driver's license in good standing and insurability under company policy.
- Willingness to travel overnight as needed.
- Proficiency in the safe use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Professional registration through IIBEC (e.g., RRO) is preferred.
