Role Overview
The APAC Sales Director will be responsible for building and scaling our presence across the Asia-Pacific region. This is a unique opportunity to shape the company's growth strategy in one of the most critical markets for maritime trade. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a hands-on leader, and a proven sales driver with deep knowledge of the maritime and software sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Regional Growth Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for APAC aligned with global objectives.
- Market Expansion: Identify and prioritize target markets, key accounts, and partnership opportunities across the region.
- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing regional sales team.
- Revenue Generation: Drive new business development and manage existing client relationships to achieve ambitious revenue targets.
- Partnership Development: Establish strategic alliances with industry stakeholders, including ship owners, operators, and technology partners.
- Forecasting & Reporting: Deliver accurate sales forecasts, pipeline management, and performance reporting to senior leadership.
- Brand Advocacy: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to enhance brand visibility.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven Track Record: 10+ years in sales leadership roles, preferably in maritime software sales
- Regional Expertise: Strong understanding of APAC markets and cultural nuances.
- Leadership Skills: Experience building and managing regional teams across multiple countries.
- Commercial Acumen: Ability to negotiate complex deals and manage C-level relationships.
- Strategic Mindset: Skilled in developing go-to-market strategies and driving execution.
- Communication: Excellent presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Maritime Studies, or related field; MBA preferred.
