Compensation: $80,000 - $140,000 (commensurate with experience)

My client is a boutique valuation and litigation support firm based in Palm Beach, Florida. They specialize in complex, high-profile cases, with a strong emphasis on matrimonial and family law matters. The team operates in a collaborative, hands-on environment where professionals are involved in every stage of the valuation process. The firm offers direct exposure to senior leadership, including CFOs, CEOs, and testifying experts, within a flat organizational structure.

The Opportunity
Due to a growing caseload, my client is seeking a Business Valuation Associate to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in valuation who is ready to take on more responsibility and contribute meaningfully to litigation support efforts. The successful candidate will assist in building models, drafting reports, and preparing exhibit packets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine valuation models for privately held businesses
  • Draft valuation reports and litigation support documents, including exhibit packets
  • Collaborate with senior experts on family law and matrimonial valuation cases
  • Support gift and estate (G&E) valuation projects as needed
  • Work primarily on-site in the Palm Beach office (some flexibility may be considered)

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in business valuation, corporate development, or litigation support
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
  • Experience in matrimonial or litigation-focused valuation is a plus
  • Progress toward CVA or CFA designation preferred (licensing support provided)
  • Ability to manage deadlines, work independently, and collaborate effectively
  • Strong written communication skills

Preferred Background

  • Experience in a smaller valuation firm or a role with end-to-end valuation exposure
  • Familiarity with gift and estate valuation processes
  • Practical, results-oriented mindset with a willingness to take initiative
