Base Salary: $180K - $220K

Recruiter Overview:
Our client, a reputable mid-sized general contractor and construction management firm in the NYC area, is actively seeking a Senior Estimator to join their pre-construction team. The firm specializes in affordable and market-rate multifamily projects, including ground-up and rehab work, with a strong pipeline of both public and private sector projects.
This is a key leadership opportunity for an experienced estimator who wants to contribute meaningfully in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze drawings, specifications, and documents to develop detailed and accurate cost estimates.
Lead the full bid process, including take-offs, subcontractor outreach, and cost analysis.
Build relationships with subcontractors and vendors to ensure reliable pricing and coverage.
Prepare conceptual and detailed estimates across multiple phases of design.
Present estimates and support value engineering strategies.
Collaborate with internal teams and participate in proposal and bid reviews.
Mentor junior estimators and help improve estimating processes.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
7+ years of estimating experience with a GC/CM, especially in multifamily or public work (HPD, HDC, DASNY, NYCHA).
Strong software skills: Bluebeam, Timberline, Procore, Excel.
Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of current NYC market pricing and building codes preferred.
