Role Overview
The Senior Engineer will serve as a Project Technical Leader, guiding teams in the design and delivery of drinking water treatment facilities and related infrastructure. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver water treatment facilities of moderate to high complexity.
- Acting as Engineer-of-Record, including process modeling and signing/sealing construction drawings.
- Reviewing designs and reports for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, ensuring adherence to firm standards.
- Performing site reviews, water quality analyses, and modeling to align designs with location-specific requirements.
- Contributing to technical knowledge development through white papers, design documentation, and publishing in technical journals.
- Collaborating with business development teams to prepare proposals and respond to RFPs.
- Engaging with clients and industry stakeholders to understand current and future needs, attending conferences to enhance visibility.
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff, fostering growth within the discipline.
Experience with alternative delivery methods such as progressive design-build is a plus.
Qualifications
- Minimum 12 years of experience in drinking water infrastructure projects.
- Strong background in water treatment systems and processes.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead technical teams.
- Excellent communication and client engagement skills.
