A highly reputable architecture practice with over 30 years of leadership in Science & Technology facility design is currently expanding their healthcare portfolio, and are hiring Senior Healthcare Planner to join their offices in San Francisco, Mountain View, San Diego, and Sacramento!

Responsibilities

  • Lead healthcare planning efforts across a range of project types, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and specialty care facilities.
  • Translate clinical workflows, regulatory standards, and client goals into functional design strategies.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, and project managers to shape planning concepts and milestone schedules.
  • Guide proposal development and help define scope, schedule, and deliverables.
  • Facilitate client meetings and presentations, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee interdisciplinary coordination and quality control during all phases of design and documentation.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to the development of the firm's healthcare planning standards.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare planning and design.
  • Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
  • OSHPD/HCAI experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare design principles, strategic planning, and master planning.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office; familiarity with SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, and dRofus is a bonus.
  • Strong written, verbal, and graphic communication skills.
