Senior Program Manager
A leading multi-disciplinary firm is seeking a Senior Program Manager with deep expertise in environmental remediation to lead complex, high-value projects across diverse client sectors. This role demands technical proficiency, leadership, and strategic oversight, with a focus on soil and groundwater remediation, site closure strategies, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing large, multidisciplinary environmental projects and mentoring teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage environmental remediation projects from assessment through closure, ensuring technical excellence, compliance, and profitability.
- Oversee scope, budget, schedule, and performance for multiple concurrent projects.
- Provide strategic direction and client-facing leadership across federal, industrial, and commercial sectors.
- Supervise and mentor project managers, engineers, geologists, and technical staff.
- Interface with regulatory agencies to support permitting, reporting, and negotiations.
- Identify new business opportunities, contribute to proposals, and help expand client relationships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related field.
- 12+ years of experience in environmental consulting, with a focus on site investigation and remediation.
- Demonstrated success in directing large-scale remediation projects under CERCLA, RCRA, or state programs.
- Professional licensure (PE, PG) strongly preferred.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and client management skills.
- Proficiency in risk-based corrective action strategies, remediation technologies, and environmental regulations.
