Key Responsibilities
- Lead the expansion of the firm's roadway practice and local market presence, with an emphasis on roadway, highway, and municipal infrastructure projects
- Serve as a senior technical and business leader responsible for advanced engineering design, client development, and strategic growth of the roadway practice across the region
- Oversee project execution from concept through delivery, ensuring technical excellence, profitability, and schedule performance
- Take an active role in resolving complex design challenges while guiding teams toward successful outcomes
- Provide visible leadership grounded in ethical decision-making and sound business judgement
- Shape and execute practice-level vision, including business planning, growth strategy, and market positioning
- Establish performance goals and ensure accountability across projects and teams
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with public agency and municipal clients
- Foster transparent, collaborative communication with partners, leadership, and project teams
- Build, mentor, and develop technical staff while transitioning work appropriately to support team growth
- Act as a positive, engaged leader who promotes collaboration, accountability, and professional development

Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive experience in roadway engineering, including project and team leadership
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of California
- Proven track record of winning and delivering roadway work within local and surrounding markets
- Demonstrated understanding of the full project lifecycle for roadway and highway projects
- Established relationships with local agencies and municipalities
- Strong technical background in the design of local roadways, urban freeways, and/or interchange systems
- Ability to manage projects profitably while leading multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with key stakeholders
- Experience preparing proposals, scopes of work, schedules, and project budgets
