Position Overview

A leading and rapidly growing structural engineering firm is seeking a Senior Project Manager - Structural Lead to head its Dallas office. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a high-performing team within a well-established parent organization and its specialized structural engineering subsidiary. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical foundation, leadership experience, and a passion for client engagement and business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Oversight:

    • Lead the structural engineering team in the Dallas office, ensuring high-quality project delivery and team performance.
    • Contribute to strategic planning and operational decisions for the structural division.
    • Mentor junior staff and support professional development across the team.
  • Project Management:

    • Oversee multiple structural engineering projects from design through construction.
    • Ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
    • Collaborate with architects, MEP consultants, and other stakeholders.
  • Client Relations & Business Development:

    • Serve as a primary client contact, building and maintaining strong relationships.
    • Lead proposal development, fee negotiations, and project scoping.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Dallas-Fort Worth region.
  • Team Building & Recruitment:

    • Play a key role in hiring and expanding the Dallas structural team.
    • Help shape the office culture and technical capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas, or the ability to obtain it within 6 months.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural engineering, including at least 3 years in a leadership or project management role.
  • Demonstrated success in client management and business development.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with commercial, educational, or institutional projects is preferred.
