This role offers the opportunity to lead multi‑million‑dollar water and wastewater programs, manage high‑performing, multi‑disciplinary teams, and partner with regional leadership on client development and strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage planning, design, permitting, and construction support for complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Lead multi‑disciplinary project teams delivering conveyance systems, pumping facilities, treatment plants, and residuals/biosolids projects.
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and delivery strategies for large, multi‑year programs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing relationships, expectations, and technical coordination.
  • Oversee project financial performance, risk management, and quality control throughout delivery.
  • Provide high‑level technical oversight and contribute to planning studies, technical reports, and design reviews.
  • Support business development efforts, including proposals, strategic pursuits, and alternative delivery opportunities.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff and future project managers.
  • Remain active in the water/wastewater industry through professional organizations, conferences, and emerging technology awareness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (engineering degree preferred).
  • Approximately 10+ years of experience in water/wastewater infrastructure project management.
  • Project Management certification (PMP, CCM, DBIA) or ability to obtain within 12 months.
  • Experience managing water/wastewater design or program delivery in North Carolina strongly preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license and alternative project delivery experience are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as required based on project needs.
