Overview:
I'm working with a client seeking a seasoned Senior Superintendent to lead field operations on complex, ground-up electrical construction projects. This role is pivotal in managing multiple crews and subordinate supervisors, ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and productivity across all phases of the build.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all onsite field operations, enforcing strict compliance with safety protocols, OSHA standards, and site-specific requirements.
  • Supervise Superintendents, Foremen, and field teams to ensure efficient and high-quality execution.
  • Oversee daily activities including scheduling, manpower planning, and material coordination.
  • Facilitate preconstruction, coordination, and progress meetings.
  • Maintain and review project schedules, forecasts, and labor productivity reports.
  • Collaborate regularly with Project Managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve issues impacting schedule, quality, or budget.
  • Ensure compliance with contract documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Manage change orders, as-built documentation, and progress reporting.
  • Conduct site inspections and support third-party or client reviews.
  • Promote site organization, quality control, and housekeeping standards.
  • Assist with cost tracking, billing, and monthly forecasting.
  • Monitor RFI logs and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (engineering, estimating, logistics, safety) to meet project needs.
  • Foster morale and motivation among field teams and subcontractors.
  • Drive productivity improvements and consistency across field operations.
  • Ensure all work complies with state and local regulations.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proven leadership in managing large-scale electrical projects ($20M+).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, sequencing, and installation methods.
  • Excellent organizational and scheduling abilities.
  • Clear and effective communicator across all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Licensing Requirements:

  • Active Texas Journeyman or Master Electrician License required.
  • Candidates licensed in other states must be eligible to obtain a Texas license as a condition of employment.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years in electrical construction or superintendent roles.
  • Demonstrated success managing large commercial, data center, or mission-critical infrastructure projects.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Familiarity with safety standards, construction practices, and project controls.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
