We are partnering with a well-established, high-growth specialist contractor to appoint a Structural Restoration Lead, a pivotal leadership role responsible for building and scaling a dedicated structural restoration division.

This is a rare opportunity for a senior technical leader who wants to move beyond project delivery and take ownership of growing a business unit, shaping strategy, and building a team from the ground up.

The Opportunity

This role is both strategic and hands-on, focused on establishing and growing a structural restoration service line.

You will:

  • Lead, build, and scale the Structural Restoration division
  • Define service offerings, delivery standards, and growth strategy
  • Leverage existing relationships and reputation to win new work
  • Oversee complex structural rehabilitation and repair projects

Primary project focus includes:

  • Existing buildings and infrastructure, including:
    • Concrete repair and strengthening
    • Structural remediation and retrofitting
    • Crack repair, corrosion mitigation, and durability upgrades
    • Load-bearing repairs and stabilization

This is a full lifecycle leadership role, spanning investigation, technical leadership, project delivery, and commercial ownership.


Key Responsibilities

Division Leadership & Growth

  • Build and lead the Structural Restoration division from inception
  • Develop market strategy, client relationships, and service capabilities
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new project opportunities
  • Recruit and develop a high-performing technical and operational team

Technical Leadership

  • Act as senior authority on:
    • Structural repair, strengthening, and rehabilitation
    • Concrete technologies and material performance
    • Failure diagnostics and root cause analysis
  • Lead assessments, investigations, and solution development

Project Delivery

  • Oversee projects from assessment through to execution
  • Ensure solutions are buildable, code-compliant, and cost-effective
  • Maintain high standards in safety, quality, and delivery
  • Collaborate with engineers, consultants, and contractors

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a leader who combines deep technical expertise with a builder's mindset:

  • Proven experience in structural restoration / repair / rehabilitation
  • Strong background in:
    • Concrete repair and structural strengthening
    • Existing building assessment and life extension
  • Experience within a specialist contractor, engineering consultancy, or GC environment
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) - this is essential
  • Experience building or growing a service line or division
  • Strong knowledge of US codes and standards (IBC, ACI, ASCE, etc.)
