A well‑established heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee field operations on water and wastewater infrastructure projects throughout Northern Virginia. This role is ideal for a strong field leader with municipal utility experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily field operations on water and wastewater projects
- Supervise crews performing underground utility, piping, structure, and concrete work
- Coordinate schedules, manpower, equipment, and subcontractors
- Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with plans and specifications
- Interface with project management, inspectors, and municipal representatives
- Enforce safety standards and lead jobsite safety meetings
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Foreman or Superintendent in heavy civil or utility construction
- Strong background in water and wastewater systems
- Municipal project experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications
- Proven leadership and communication skills
- OSHA 30 preferred
