Position Overview

The Senior Geotechnical Engineer will serve as a technical leader within the growing geotechnical group, delivering high-quality engineering solutions while helping guide the practice's continued development. You will work closely with the geotechnical department founder and leadership team, contributing to project execution, client service, and long-term practice growth. Over time, this position offers the opportunity to take on increasing leadership responsibility based on interest and performance.

This role is well-suited for someone seeking autonomy, career stability, and long-term growth within a respected, employee-owned firm.

  • Prior experience mentoring junior engineers or supervising technical staff
  • Interest in long-term career growth within a developing geotechnical practice

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive and flexible salary based on experience and qualifications
  • Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP) with annual stock allocation and full vesting after six years
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, with the company covering a significant portion of premiums
  • 401(k) retirement program
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities
  • Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates

Work Environment and Structure

The geotechnical group includes in-house drilling and field personnel, providing direct control over subsurface investigations and data quality. The Indianapolis office supports a collaborative, team-oriented environment, with future opportunities for growth in staff, technical services, and regional reach as market demand continues to expand.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Opportunity to help shape and grow a developing geotechnical practice
  • Direct access to mentorship from a senior industry professional
