Full-Time | Field + Office | $26 - $38/hr
A growing surveying and engineering team is looking for a Survey Instrumentation / Monitoring Technician to support field monitoring, data collection, and equipment operations across a range of projects.
This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys working with modern survey technology, data analysis, and hands-on field equipment, without being stuck doing only one part of the process.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support and coordinate field monitoring systems using tools like Leica GeoMos
- Assist with installation, setup, and calibration of survey instrumentation
- Ensure equipment accuracy through routine checks and adjustments
- Work directly with field teams to troubleshoot and maintain equipment performance
- Download, review, and analyze field data for processing and reporting
- Perform basic statistical calculations and problem-solving on collected data
- Assist with site reconnaissance and field condition assessments
- Contribute to project documentation and reporting deliverables
- Participate in occasional site visits
What They're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience with survey instrumentation or data collection
- Experience with Automated Total Stations is a plus
- Background in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering Technology, or similar preferred
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues in the field
- Solid communication skills working across field and office teams
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to pick up new software
- Valid, clean driver's license
