What You'll Do
- Drive the interconnection process: Review and analyze interconnection applications to ensure compliance with technical and regulatory standards.
- Solve complex challenges: Perform technical assessments, including power flow and stability studies, to evaluate system impacts.
- Collaborate and influence: Work closely with internal teams, developers, and stakeholders to facilitate agreements and keep projects on track.
- Shape the grid of tomorrow: Support transmission planning studies and contribute to strategies that enhance system reliability and capacity.
- Stay organized and informed: Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for interconnection projects in line with regulatory requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 3+ years in transmission planning, interconnection studies, or related utility/RTO/ISO work.
- Familiarity with transmission planning standards, interconnection processes, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency with power system analysis tools (e.g., PSS®E, PowerWorld, PSCAD) is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
