A well-established civil engineering firm with a strong presence across California is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join its San Diego office. The firm partners closely with municipal clients to deliver high-quality water infrastructure projects across the region.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will support the planning, design, and delivery of water supply and distribution projects. This role offers meaningful involvement across the full project lifecycle, within a collaborative, technically focused team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design water distribution systems, pipelines, and conveyance infrastructure
Support the development of pump stations and water storage facilities
Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and technical reports
Perform hydraulic modeling and system analysis
Coordinate with project teams, subconsultants, and public agency clients
Assist with project delivery across planning, design, and construction phases
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
3-8+ years of relevant experience in water/wastewater or civil infrastructure
EIT certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license, or in progress
Experience with Civil 3D and preparation of engineering design documents
Familiarity with pipelines, pump stations, or water distribution systems
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Compensation
$110,000 - $155,000 base salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications
Performance-based bonus eligibility
