Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in the planning, design, and delivery of complex water and wastewater treatment, biosolids, and odor control projects.
  • Lead and review engineering designs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct site visits and technical studies to align designs with field conditions and client expectations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative, cost-effective solutions.
  • Support business development by preparing technical content for proposals and participating in client meetings and interviews.
  • Represent the firm at industry conferences and technical symposia to enhance visibility and thought leadership.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and project staff.
  • May supervise and manage project teams, ensuring quality and timely delivery of services.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering (or related discipline).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in water/wastewater treatment design and project delivery.
  • Willingness to travel domestically as needed (approximately 10%).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering.
  • Experience with various project delivery methods (e.g., design-build, design-bid-build, CMAR).
  • Proven track record of successful client engagement and project leadership.
  • Strong technical writing and presentation skills.

  • Deep knowledge of water and wastewater treatment technologies and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and guide teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a matrixed organization.
