Job Title: Wastewater Design Engineer
Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Wastewater Design Engineer to join our growing infrastructure team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in civil or environmental engineering and a passion for designing systems that improve public health and environmental sustainability. You'll be involved in a wide range of projects-from treatment plant upgrades to collection system improvements-working closely with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the design of wastewater treatment and conveyance systems
- Prepare engineering reports, design calculations, and construction documents
- Conduct site visits, field investigations, and assessments of existing infrastructure
- Perform hydraulic and hydrologic modeling and analysis
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including CAD technicians, project managers, and environmental specialists
- Assist in permitting processes and regulatory compliance
- Participate in client meetings and contribute to project planning and budgeting
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical development within the team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Master's preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within one year
- 10 years of experience in wastewater infrastructure design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil3D and Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations related to wastewater systems
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- Collaborative mindset and commitment to high-quality work
