About the Opportunity

A nationally recognized, 100% employee-owned engineering and infrastructure consulting firm is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to support the planning, design, and delivery of municipal water and wastewater projects.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative team focused on the design and implementation of water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, pipelines, collection systems, distribution systems, and related infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare engineering designs, calculations, technical reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Support the planning, design, and delivery of municipal water and wastewater projects.
  • Assist with water and wastewater treatment facility improvements and expansions.
  • Contribute to the design of pipelines, pump stations, collection systems, and distribution networks.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in client meetings, site visits, and construction-phase services.
  • Support permitting efforts and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Perform quality control reviews and ensure technical excellence throughout project delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in water and/or wastewater engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months of hire.
  • Experience working on municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Familiarity with treatment processes, conveyance systems, pump stations, utility infrastructure, and related engineering standards.
