Location: San Francisco Bay Area
Salary Range: $180,000 - $240,000 per year

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Principal Environmental Lead to drive technical excellence and business growth in our Northern California operations. This leadership role combines strategic business development with hands-on project delivery, team management, and operational oversight. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in site investigation, remediation, and environmental compliance, along with a proven track record of client relationship development and revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Operations: Oversee the Northern California business unit, ensuring operational success and alignment with company goals.
  • Seller/Doer Role: Actively engage in business development while managing technical projects and mentoring staff.
  • Client Development: Build and maintain strong client relationships, with an annual sales expectation of $1M.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide senior-level guidance on site investigation, remediation strategies, and compliance solutions.
  • Team Management: Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and technical growth.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure projects meet regulatory requirements and company quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in environmental consulting with a focus on site investigation, remediation, and compliance.
  • Proven success in business development and client relationship management.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
