Commercial Solar Project Manager

The Commercial Project Manager is responsible for leading the execution of commercial-scale projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily goals, tasks, and accountability with project operations and leadership.
  • Work closely with design, engineering, procurement, construction, and permitting teams.
  • Manage subcontractors, vendors, and internal resources to ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.
  • Oversee subcontractor contracts, change orders, and resolve issues that arise during execution.
  • Utilize project management tools (e.g., CRM systems, scheduling platforms) to track progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including permitting and interconnection requirements.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, utilities, and local authorities.
  • Prepare and present progress reports, forecasts, and milestone documentation.
  • Monitor invoicing and payment processes.
  • Conduct weekly status meetings with internal teams to review timelines and deliverables.
  • Address customer concerns and escalate unresolved issues as needed.
  • Manage multiple project schedules, budgets, and resources to keep projects on track.

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of project management experience in construction (renewable energy preferred).
  • Proficiency with productivity tools (Google Workspace or similar).
  • Experience with CRM and project management software.
  • Knowledge of solar PV systems, battery storage, and permitting processes (preferred).
  • Familiarity with electrical codes and building standards.
  • Strong ability to manage subcontractors and vendors.
  • Excellent communication skills across multiple channels.
