They are seeking a Construction Engineering Inspector with both field and office experience on transportation and municipal projects. Relevant experience includes work involving roadway construction and pathways.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Civil Technology or a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in construction engineering and inspection, including field and office work on transportation and municipal projects
- Experience with bridge or roadway construction inspection
- Knowledge of established construction practices, procedures, and applicable state and federal delivery processes
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily with project team members and clients
- Read and interpret project plans, drawings, and specifications
- Inspect underground utilities, roadway features, and/or bridge components for compliance and acceptability
- Follow established QA/QC practices and procedures
- Monitor construction activities for adherence to project documents, including plans and contractor submittals
- Measure and calculate quantities of installed materials and completed work
- Review inspection reports from other technicians
