The Role
As Manager, Asset Management, you will be responsible for maximizing the performance and long-term value of a portfolio of data center assets in Japan. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, financial partners, and external parties to oversee assets throughout their lifecycle, from development through operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead asset management across a portfolio of data center developments and operating assets
- Oversee monthly OPEX, development-related activities, and portfolio optimization initiatives
- Develop and execute strategies to enhance asset performance while managing financial and operational risk
- Deliver detailed financial analysis to support investment, development, and operational decisions
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
- Produce clear and comprehensive reports for senior management, stakeholders, and financial institutions
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, financial standards, and internal policies
- Stay current on changes in Japanese financial, accounting, and asset management requirements
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline
- 5+ years' experience in asset management, financial analysis, or a related role within the Japanese market
- Strong financial modeling, reporting, and analytical capabilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluency in both Japanese and English (written and spoken)
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in a multinational or international organization
- Knowledge of Japanese asset management standards and local market practices
- Exposure to portfolio management or investment advisory work
- Experience supporting development projects, including engagement with local authorities, utilities, and communities
- Understanding of land titles and development-related legal considerations
