Role Overview:
Lead electrical engineering efforts on large-scale power generation projects. Responsibilities include:
- Designing electrical systems: one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, cable schedules.
- Performing advanced calculations: load flow, short circuit, arc flash, motor starting, relay settings.
- Specifying equipment and preparing procurement documents.
- Managing budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
- Supporting construction and client interactions on-site.
- Using tools like ETAP, SKM, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Locations:
Candidates should be based in or willing to relocate to Raliegh (NC), Kansas City (MO), or Ann Arbor (MI).
Key Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in electrical engineering for conventional power (e.g., combined cycle, simple cycle).
- Strong knowledge of NEC, IEEE/ANSI standards.
- Experience with MV/LV equipment and systems.
- PE license required.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship.
- Oversee engineering standards and quality processes.
- Support business development and client engagement.
- May supervise and manage team members.
