A growing employee-owned engineering consulting firm is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Project Manager to lead complex industrial and power-related engineering projects. This role offers a combination of technical leadership, project management, client interaction, and team development responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of electrical engineering projects from concept through construction.
- Serve as a technical resource for industrial power system and electrical infrastructure projects.
- Manage multidisciplinary project teams while coordinating with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee the development of engineering deliverables, including power distribution systems, substations, motor control centers, protection systems, control schematics, grounding, and lighting plans.
- Perform and review power system studies, including short circuit, coordination, and arc flash analyses.
- Ensure projects meet applicable safety, QA/QC, and industry code requirements.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, deliverables, and client expectations.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships, serving as a key point of contact.
- Support business development efforts through proposals, networking, and project pursuits.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to support professional development.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or required.
- 10+ years of experience in industrial, utility, power generation, manufacturing, or heavy industrial electrical design environments.
- Prior project management or team leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of medium- and low-voltage power systems, substations, motor controls, and electrical distribution equipment.
- Experience managing client relationships, project schedules, and engineering budgets.
