Location: Minnesota, USA

A growing employee-owned engineering consulting firm is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Project Manager to lead complex industrial and power-related engineering projects. This role offers a combination of technical leadership, project management, client interaction, and team development responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of electrical engineering projects from concept through construction.
  • Serve as a technical resource for industrial power system and electrical infrastructure projects.
  • Manage multidisciplinary project teams while coordinating with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee the development of engineering deliverables, including power distribution systems, substations, motor control centers, protection systems, control schematics, grounding, and lighting plans.
  • Perform and review power system studies, including short circuit, coordination, and arc flash analyses.
  • Ensure projects meet applicable safety, QA/QC, and industry code requirements.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, deliverables, and client expectations.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships, serving as a key point of contact.
  • Support business development efforts through proposals, networking, and project pursuits.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to support professional development.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or required.
  • 10+ years of experience in industrial, utility, power generation, manufacturing, or heavy industrial electrical design environments.
  • Prior project management or team leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of medium- and low-voltage power systems, substations, motor controls, and electrical distribution equipment.
  • Experience managing client relationships, project schedules, and engineering budgets.
