About the Role
A leading infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Safety Manager to oversee safety compliance across multiple active underground electrical and telecommunications projects throughout New York City. This role is critical to ensuring safe work practices, regulatory compliance, and proactive risk mitigation in high-density urban environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site safety audits and inspections across underground electrical and telecom installations
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NYC DOB, and Con Edison safety standards
- Develop and implement site-specific safety plans and training programs
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, and lead corrective action initiatives
- Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and subcontractors to promote a safety-first culture
- Maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting for all active job sites
Qualifications
- Proven experience in underground electrical, telecommunications, or Con Edison-related infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of NYC construction safety codes and utility protocols
- OSHA 30 certification required; additional safety credentials preferred
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Valid driver's license (company vehicle provided)
