Key Responsibilities
- Conduct forensic investigations of structural systems, including foundations, framing, and load-bearing components.
- Perform site inspections, condition assessments, and damage evaluations.
- Analyze construction defects and structural failures, providing expert recommendations for remediation.
- Prepare detailed reports and expert opinions for litigation and insurance claims.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and legal professionals on complex projects.
- Stay updated on industry standards, building codes, and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in forensic structural engineering or construction investigations.
- Strong knowledge of building materials, load-bearing systems, and construction methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Additional professional certifications (SE or similar) are a plus
