A growing heavy civil/site contractor is seeking an experienced General Superintendent to oversee field operations across multiple projects in the Warrenton, VA area. This role requires a high-level field leader with strong experience in total site development and utility construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide oversight of multiple job sites, Superintendents, and field crews
- Lead execution of site development projects including grading, utilities, and infrastructure
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, and resources across projects
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and in compliance with plans and specifications
- Work closely with project management, clients, and subcontractors
- Drive jobsite safety culture and enforce company safety standards
- Mentor and develop Superintendents and Foremen
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or General Superintendent in heavy civil/site construction
- Strong background in sitework, utilities, grading, and total site services
- Experience managing multiple crews and projects simultaneously
- Ability to read and interpret civil plans and specifications
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- OSHA 30 preferred
