About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Heritage Strategy Leader to join our senior leadership team. This role will be pivotal in shaping and scaling our heritage business across Australia, driving strategic growth, and ensuring excellence in heritage advisory services.

As part of the strategy team, you will work closely with executive leadership to define the roadmap for expansion, develop innovative service offerings, and build strong client relationships in the heritage sector.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive growth strategy for the heritage business in alignment with overall organizational objectives.
    • Identify market opportunities and emerging trends to position the business as a leader in heritage consulting.
  • Business Development:

    • Drive client engagement and partnerships with government agencies, developers, and infrastructure stakeholders.
    • Lead proposals and bids for major heritage projects, ensuring competitive positioning and compliance.
  • Operational Excellence:

    • Oversee delivery standards for heritage assessments, cultural heritage management plans, and related advisory services.
    • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure projects meet regulatory requirements and client expectations.
  • Team Leadership:

    • Mentor and grow a team of heritage specialists, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
    • Support recruitment and capability development to scale the heritage practice effectively.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, Cultural Heritage Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in heritage consulting, with a proven track record in leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of Australian heritage legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic growth plans.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
