HVAC Project Manager

About the role

In this position, you'll oversee all aspects of commercial HVAC project delivery-from planning to execution to close‑out. You'll manage budgets, schedules, manpower, safety practices, and stakeholder communication to ensure every project is completed on time, within budget, and to top quality standards.

You will act as the key decision‑maker for technical, personnel, and business matters tied to your projects and will coordinate closely with general contractors, end‑users, subcontractors, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, direction, and control of assigned HVAC projects.
  • Oversee utilization of project manpower, materials, and resources.
  • Review plans and specifications; ensure compliance with contract requirements and budget.
  • Prepare project estimates, change orders, schedules, and required documentation.
  • Maintain ongoing coordination with vendors, general contractors, subcontractors, and field operations.
  • Track manpower needs and coordinate with operations leadership.
  • Ensure jobsite safety and facilitate regular safety meetings.
  • Initiate monthly billing and manage project financial documentation.

What You Bring

  • Minimum 5+ years of HVAC Project Management experience in the commercial mechanical space. Experience in healthcare, education, institutional, or direct‑to‑owner projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems and commercial HVAC construction.
  • Proven experience delivering projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication abilities for coordinating with internal teams and external partners.
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset and commitment to high‑quality workmanship.
