About the Company:
The organization has developed multiple utility-scale natural gas-fired power facilities that have set benchmarks for efficiency, environmental performance, and community engagement. With a focus on modern, dispatchable generation, the company continues to expand its portfolio in strategic markets across the U.S., supporting grid reliability and economic growth.

Responsibilities:
The Project Manager will lead the development or acquisition of thermal generation projects from early-stage concept through financial close. Key responsibilities include:

  • Securing internal approvals for active development
  • Negotiating site control agreements
  • Managing permitting and regulatory processes
  • Structuring commercial, financing, construction, and operational contracts
  • Overseeing project schedules, budgets, and stakeholder engagement
  • Coordinating with internal teams across engineering, finance, legal, and administration
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders

The role also involves evaluating market and transmission trends, analyzing acquisition opportunities, responding to public solicitations, and identifying new project development prospects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, environmental studies, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in energy infrastructure development, with a focus on thermal generation preferred
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Familiarity with governmental, legal, and environmental regulations
  • Proven ability to lead within a matrixed organization
  • Business and financial acumen to support high-performance outcomes
  • Willingness to travel extensively
