About the Opportunity

A growing multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm is seeking a Mechanical Designer or Mechanical Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to join its Baltimore office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their expertise in mission critical/data center design while working alongside a collaborative team on a diverse portfolio of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the design and development of HVAC and mechanical building systems.
  • Prepare construction documents, specifications, calculations, and design drawings.
  • Support project teams through planning, design, and construction administration phases.
  • Coordinate with internal disciplines, clients, architects, and contractors.
  • Participate in site visits, field investigations, and project meetings.
  • Utilize industry-standard design software to develop models and construction documents.
  • Contribute to mission critical/data center projects as well as other building sectors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of mechanical design experience within the MEP consulting industry.
  • Experience with mission critical/data center projects preferred.
  • Proficiency with Revit and other mechanical design software.
  • Understanding of HVAC systems, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • EIT certification is a plus; PE path encouraged.
