An employee-owned, multidisciplinary engineering and architecture firm, is seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Atlanta office. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of facility design projects, including commercial, laboratory, and industrial developments.

Position Overview:
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design and coordination of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, utility piping, and process ventilation. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, support client communications, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, technically sound engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support mechanical design efforts for commercial, laboratory, and industrial facilities
Design utility piping systems (e.g., steam, chilled water, compressed air), HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and reports
Participate in client meetings and assist in project planning and coordination
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements
Utilize Revit, AutoCAD, and other design tools to develop engineering documentation
Mentor early-career engineers and contribute to quality assurance processes

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design; 8+ years preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
Familiarity with IMC, IPC, IFGC, IFC, and ASHRAE standards
Experience with federal design standards (UFCs) and ASME B31.1/B31.3 piping codes is a plus
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel to project sites and client meetings as needed

Preferred Experience:
Design experience in water/wastewater facilities
Piping stress analysis
Mentoring and leadership of junior engineering staff
