Our client is a leading international water and wastewater engineering specialist with a strong presence in Singapore, delivering complex municipal and industrial treatment infrastructure across the full project lifecycle. The organisation is recognised for its strong mechanical and process engineering expertise, collaborative multidisciplinary culture, and commitment to high engineering standards and sustainable solutions. The company is seeking a Mechanical Manager to lead process design, engineering calculations, equipment sizing, and oversee multiple projects while engaging closely with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptual, functional, preliminary, and detailed design of mechanical process systems for water and wastewater treatment plants, including screening, physical-chemical, biological, odour control, disinfection, and sludge treatment systems
- Design of pumping systems for water, wastewater, and sludge treatment facilities
- Design of ancillary systems such as chemical dosing, mechanical ventilation, and drainage systems
- Preparation of General Arrangement and equipment layout drawings
- Development of mechanical equipment and pump specifications
- Mechanical equipment sizing, hydraulic, and pipe sizing calculations
- Review and evaluation of vendor submissions
- Coordination with civil, structural, electrical, building services, and instrumentation & control teams
- Lead technical meetings with clients, contractors, and vendors
- Provide engineering support for bids, construction, testing, and commissioning
- Prepare project cost estimates and manage mechanical/process-focused projects
Key Requirements:
- Professional Engineer (PE) registered with the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 10-15 years of experience in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment design
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
- Proven experience leading engineers and performing QA/QC reviews
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
