Remote Project Engineer - Ground Improvement / Foundation Design
📍 Remote (USA-based)
I'm working with a leading ground improvement contractor that's continuing to grow across the US. They're looking to bring in a Project Engineer to support foundation design work on a fully remote basis.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical side of geotechnical engineering but wants flexibility and exposure to a wide range of projects.
What you'll be doing:
- Design of ground improvement systems (rammed aggregate piers, rigid inclusions, etc.)
- Perform geotechnical analysis for shallow/deep foundation support
- Interpret geotechnical reports, soil data, and site conditions
- Work closely with internal sales, project management, and construction teams
- Support proposals and technical recommendations for clients
- Ensure designs are cost-effective and aligned with project specs
What they're looking for:
- Degree in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical focus preferred)
- 3-8 years of geotechnical / foundation design experience
- Experience with ground improvement, foundations, or soil mechanics
- EIT required (PE or on track strongly preferred)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, design-focused environment
- Strong communication skills - ability to explain technical solutions
