Base salary: $85,000-$100,000 + per diem and hazard pay
Position Summary:
A well-established general contractor in the Northwest, is hiring a Project Engineer to support civil construction operations in Libby, Montana. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in construction management while contributing to impactful infrastructure projects in a scenic, rural environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction activities.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and documentation.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and compliance.
- Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to ensure efficient project execution.
- Assist with quality control, safety compliance, and project closeout procedures.
Experience Required
- 1-3 years of experience in civil construction or a related field (internships or co-op experience will be considered).
- Familiarity with construction processes, materials, and documentation.
- Experience with project management software is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent field experience).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Willingness to work on-site in Libby, MT and travel to project locations as needed.
