About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the construction of a new manufacturing facility in Tochigi Prefecture. This is a high-impact role overseeing project management and cost management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction project management, excellent stakeholder coordination skills, and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project management for the construction of a manufacturing plant.
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Provide regular progress updates to senior management and project sponsors.
  • Manage procurement and contract administration processes.
  • Oversee site activities and resolve issues as they arise.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in managing large-scale construction projects, preferably in industrial or manufacturing settings.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project controls, and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multilingual environment.
  • Fluency in English is required; Japanese language skills are not mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.
  • Experience working in Japan or on international projects is a plus.
