About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the construction of a new manufacturing facility in Tochigi Prefecture. This is a high-impact role overseeing project management and cost management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction project management, excellent stakeholder coordination skills, and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project management for the construction of a manufacturing plant.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation plans.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Provide regular progress updates to senior management and project sponsors.
- Manage procurement and contract administration processes.
- Oversee site activities and resolve issues as they arise.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in managing large-scale construction projects, preferably in industrial or manufacturing settings.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project controls, and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multilingual environment.
- Fluency in English is required; Japanese language skills are not mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience working in Japan or on international projects is a plus.
