They're currently looking to bring on a Transmission & Distribution Engineering Manager to lead a team supporting utility line design projects.
Location
- Fully remote (U.S.-based)
- Ideal candidates located in St. Louis, MO, Chicago, IL, or within the Central or Eastern Time Zone
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and manage a team of engineers and designers working on transmission and distribution line design projects
- Oversee project delivery to ensure quality, timelines, and client expectations are consistently met
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship, including QA/QC oversight and engineering best practices
- Coordinate closely with internal teams and utility clients to track project progress and resolve challenges
- Review and approve design packages across a variety of voltage levels, scopes, and structure types
- Support resource planning and project staffing across active workstreams
- Partner with leadership on team development, growth initiatives, and new project opportunities
- Participate in client-facing discussions, presentations, and business development efforts as needed
What They're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 7+ years of experience in transmission and/or distribution line engineering
- Strong background in utility line design projects
- Hands-on experience with PLS-CADD and related tools (PoleForeman, SPIDAcalc, or similar)
- Familiarity with industry standards such as NESC, IEEE, RUS, ASCE, and ACI
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams
- P.E. license strongly preferred
